High Desert Soundings is an outdoor two-day festival of forward-thinking, radical, experimental, and improvised musics/sound art outside of Joshua Tree, CA. Founded in 2017 by Daniel Meyer-O'Keefe and TJ Borden, we are currently: TJ Borden, Ethan Marks, Michelle Lou.

The Palms Restaurant is about a three-hour drive from both Los Angeles and San Diego, located at 83131 Amboy Rd, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277. Ample free parking is available.

EATING AND DRINKING IN THE AREA


The festival is located at The Palms, which is a rustic roadhouse that features a full bar, beer, wine, food service, pool tables and booths. Their drinks and food are affordable and they offer vegan and vegetarian options.



The center of Twentynine Palms is about 6 miles away from the venue and it boasts a variety of food options.

ACCOMODATIONS


Rustic camping is offered free of charge to festival goers on BLM land adjacent to The Palms. Flushing toilets are available for campers, however there are no showers and no running water. Please be prepared to bring all of your own camping gear and water. There isn't much shade, so consider bringing hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Remember to pack out what you bring in and to be considerate of neighbors. Quiet hours are midnight - 8 am.
